Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing – Weekly Update 

Your local Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing Team has been active across the area this week, dealing with a wide range of issues and continuing to work with partners to keep the community safe.

FEO Cover

PCSOs provided FEO cover to support frontline policing activity.

 Fatal 4

Officers continued enforcement and engagement around the Fatal 4 factors that cause serious and fatal road traffic collisions – speeding, drink/drug driving, mobile phone use and not wearing seatbelts. This work is aimed at improving road safety for all road users.

Drug-related activity

Two cannabis cultivation sites were identified and dealt with during the week. This action disrupts organised criminal activity and helps prevent further harm to the community.

Protests

Officers attended three separate protests within the area, ensuring they were managed safely, lawfully, and with minimal disruption to residents, businesses and road users.

Partnership work with Leicester City Council

We continue to work closely with Leicester City Council to identify and take enforcement action against problematic properties. This included serving prohibition orders where necessary to improve safety, standards, and quality of life for residents.
